Ninety metres above the ground, a thin metal wire stretches between three of the tower blocks in Red Road, North Glasgow.
A solitary figure steps off the edge of the building and onto the line that stretches before him. He moves slowly and gracefully, step by silent step, and along the wire...
Acclaimed French high wire artist Didier Pasquette is the figure on the line.
HIGH WIRE will be shown as a new film and video installation by Catherine Yass at CCA: The Centre for Contemporary Arts for Glasgow international Festival of Contemporary Visual Art from 11 April – 24 May 2008.
